Dear Community Partner,

Mechanicsville Little league has been providing the boys and girls of our community with the opportunity to enjoy baseball and softball for over 50 years. As a league, we take great pride in fostering an environment where our children can learn the values of teamwork, structure, and facing the challenges of competition; all while developing a love of the game. We also offer a Challenger division for special needs youth to give them the opportunity to play baseball and attend an annual Jamboree in May at Virginia Beach.

Today, the league owns a 26-acre baseball/softball facility that includes 10 lighted fields, 4 batting cages, and a full-service concession stand. The expense of maintaining this facility falls squarely on the shoulders of the league, as we receive no financial support from Hanover County or other entities. Player fees, donations, and concession stand proceeds are used to offset annual operating expenses, while money raised through corporate sponsorships is targeted for facility improvements/enhancements needed to keep our facility as one of the best in the RVA area.

At the conclusion of the 2022 season, we assessed the needs of capital improvements around the complex and determined that we will construct a new batting cage, replace older scoreboards and make enhancements to the concession stand area. We are also excited to announce that Mechanicsville Little League will be hosting the District 5 All-Star tournament this season. This means for close to 3 weeks in June we'll have players, parents and spectators coming to MLL from all of the leagues in our district (Powhatan, Tuckahoe, Chesterfield, Atlee, Ashland, Highland Springs, Richmond). This will be a great opportunity for our sponsors to advertise and promote themselves at the complex!

We are a 501c3 non profit organization of volunteers, and on behalf of our Board of Directors and players, we thank you for your time and consideration of this opportunity. We hope to include your company with our family of community sponsors as we continue our proud tradition of Little League Baseball and Softball in Mechanicsville.

Thank you,

Chris Chappell, President
