Tee Ball Division
Mechanicsville Little League is committed to introducing players of all ages and skill levels to the game of baseball and softball. The 2021 Spring Tee Ball Season will aim to provide a foundation and introduction to baseball and softball that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals. As with all of our programs, we are continually looking at ways to to improve our Tee Ball division for both our children and parents. As a board, through feedback from our parents and coaches, we’ve decided to make a few minor changes that we hope will have a major impact for our upcoming season. TEAMS will consist of 6-7 players. Our goal here is for our children to spend less time playing in the outfield and more time in the infield where the action is for this age level. This construct will be dependent on the number of registered players and volunteer coaches. As any parent of this age level would know, attention spans are short and for this reason it is critical that we have an acceptable number of volunteer coaches to keep groups at practice small and focused during the games. We ask that anyone who is even remotely interested in helping, whether that’s a parent or family member, to please sign-up to coach or assist. GAMES will be held on Saturdays starting at 9:00 am with the final games wrapping up by 11:00 am and each game lasting 1 hour. The season will start with several practices, leading up to the first game on opening day April 25th. From there we'll have a mixture of practices on weeknights and games on Saturdays. As we get into the season we will shift to only games to wrap up the season.

Players should arrive at each practice/game with the following Tee Ball equipment:
- Batting Helmet with face mask.
- Tee ball bat
- Baseball Glove
- Cleats
- Proper baseball attire (full uniform for games; athletic apparel for practice)
Uniform provided by MLL:
Additional uniform pieces required (may be purchased through MLL)
